Rooftop Conversation
Pt 1 -
Roman - Und es gibt Bauruinen, also, die angefangen wurden zu bauen und nicht fertig gestellt, und ich dachte, da leben trotzdem Menschen drin, und statt – die haben keine Fenster , aber da haengen Steckdosen(Folien) rum und so… es gibt bestimmt in jeder Stadt solche Viertel, in Bankok ist das halt durchgehend so… In den reichen Vierteln war ich gar nicht, da hatte ich auch nix zu suchen.
Stephi - Ah, du meinst in,… du meinst in ah, Thailand, also, dass da solche Viertel sind?
Roman- Nein, ich meine, das hast du in jeder Stadt.
Stephi- Auch hier?
Roman - Ja, es gibt bestimmt Viertel es gibt doch ueberall ein Gebiet ,wo die Aermsten wohnen….

Pt 2 -
Roman - And there are unfinished buildings (ruins/houses under construction) that had been started and are not finished.. and I thought people are living anyway there, and instead they have no windows, but they are hanging plastic plants and so…… it’s surely in every.. city an area like that, in Bangkok it’s all over the place like that….In the rich areas I haven’t been, for it wasn’t my business to be there (I didn’t belong there).
Stephi - Oh your thinking of… your speaking of Thailand, that there are such areas?
Roman - No I think that’s what you have got in every city..
Stephi - Here also? (Frankfurt)
Roman - Yes, there are certain quarters and there are areas everywhere where the poorest live……..
